WHAT ARE YOUR PRIORITIES FOR THE TREASURER'S OFFICE?

My priorities are to first to take my work as Chairman of the Committee on Downsizing State Government to a statewide level so we can begin to unravel the bureaucratic mess that is our state government. Second, to provide some long range planning to plan for the future instead of spending every penny we take in. And third, to put us on a long-term sustainable path to pay for our unfunded pension and health care liabilities. We have stretched ourselves too thin and made promises we have no chance of keeping. I want to have an adult conversation and make the tough decisions to establish common-sense, conservative principles in the treasurer's office.
