I previously served on the Dutchtown Board of Trustees and served as the chairwoman of the board (mayor) from mid 2008 thru June 2012, when my family moved from Dutchtown to Crump.

__What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?:__

Education is very important to me. I graduated valedictorian in 1989 from Potosi High School. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Illinois - Springfield in 1993 with a bachelor degree in Mathematical Sciences. I am very involved with my children's education. I am a hard working, dependable, and honest person. I look forward to working with the teachers, staff, students, and parents to improve upon the education within the Delta schools.

__What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?:__

One of the biggest challenges facing a smaller school district today is that they usually do not have the resources available to offer the variety of courses that a larger school might have. Some of the opportunities within the district are smaller class sizes, intelligent and talented students, knowledgeable teachers, and a supportive community.

__How will you communicate your work to your constituents?:__

I am available to be reached by telephone, email, or in person within the community or at school functions. I encourage anyone within the community to contact me with any concerns or input.

__What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?:__

All of my decisions made as a school board member will be based on the educational impact on the school and the students it serves. My ultimate goal of serving on the Delta School Board is to provide the best possible education to the students within the Delta School District.
