Security breach at Prince Harry's military academy

LONDON -- Britain's defense minister ordered an investigation Thursday into security at the military school where Prince Harry is training, after a newspaper said one of its journalists, who had a camera and a fake bomb, gained access. Defense Secretary John Reid said he had ordered "an immediate investigation into this serious security breach."

Dutch youth's home in Aruba searched

NOORD, Aruba -- Police investigating Natalee Holloway's disappearance made a helicopter survey of this Dutch Caribbean island before dawn Thursday after seizing cars and other items at the home of a judicial official whose son was with the Alabama teen the night she vanished. In a statement released late Wednesday, officials said the helicopter would conduct "technical investigations" across the island during the night.

Bomber kills 8 police with attack in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- A suicide car bomber slammed into a truck Thursday that was carrying policemen along the main road connecting Baghdad with its airport, killing at least eight officers and injuring at least 25, police and hospital officials said. The bomber plowed his black sedan at high speed into a truck carrying police officers from checkpoint to checkpoint along the road about 4 p.m. The officers were part of an evening shift that was replacing other officers at the checkpoints.

Pakistani wanted by U.S. captured in Mexico

MEXICO CITY -- Mexico is investigating what a Pakistani national wanted by the United States for allegedly selling anti-aircraft missiles was doing in a community outside Tijuana. Acting on intelligence provided by the United States, Mexican authorities captured Arif Durrani, 55, earlier this week as he left a restaurant near the Tijuana-San Diego border. Mexico has not charged Durrani with wrongdoing, but its authorities are still investigating.
