Cape Girardeau: 16th Annual Parade of Lights, 5 p.m. Begins at Capaha Park and continues to Hutson's Fine Furniture on Main Street.

Friday | Nov. 30

Cape Girardeau: Downtown Christmas Open House. Choirs, carolers and Santa Claus will be on hand as shoppers are invited to visit participating merchants, who will have special window displays and treats to help make the experience special.

Saturday | Dec. 1

Jackson: Jackson Jaycee Christmas Parade, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Main Street in Jackson. Theme: A Techno Christmas.

Thursday | Dec. 6

Cape Girardeau: "Retaining Talent." From 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce, 1267 N. Mt. Auburn Rd. A program to help leaders understand how to retain key players in an organization. Cost: $99. Contact the chamber offices at (573) 335-3312.

Friday | Dec. 7

Cape Girardeau: First Friday Coffee, 7 a.m. at the Show Me Center. A monthly networking event with a program that focuses on a particular business or civic issue. This month's sponsors will be Kelly Services and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
