The work began Monday and should continue for about two weeks. Inspectors will be climbing the bridge as they go about their work, minimizing the need for lane restrictions. This will mean only occasional, brief lane restrictions will be required. While both lanes will be open to normal traffic flow during the inspection, motorists should be alert for climbers working along the bridge railing and use appropriate caution. Motorists can expect to encounter inspectors climbing on the bridge superstructure during daylight hours whenever weather conditions allow.

Timely traffic advisories for the 12 counties of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Highway District 1 are available by going to www.facebook.com/kytcdistrict1.
