The bus travels the country compiling reader interviews to air on the national cable station.

From noon to 12:30 p.m. local leaders will read stories to children. The readers will include Mayor Jay Knudtson and city manager Doug Leslie.

People can tour the bus from noon to 1:30 p.m. C-SPAN2 staffers will interview interested parties about their favorite book on the subject of history, politics or government.

Afterward the crew will interview Cape Girardeau County prosecutor and author Morley Swingle.
