A small business workshop will be held at the University Center on Southeast Missouri State University campus in Cape Girardeau July 30, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The workshop, "How to Start and Manage a Small Business," is designed to acquaint the small business operators with current management principles as they relate to small business operations.
Buz Sutherland of the Small Business Development Center at the university, and Rick Sparks, business and industry specialist with University of Missouri Extension, will be instructors for the workshop.
The cost of the program is $20. Additional information is available by calling 290-5965 in Cape Girardeau, or the extension center at Jackson, 243-3581.
Topics will include personal considerations, new business start-up/buyout/franchising, financing a small business, development a business plan and others.
