Automation Services wins SBC awards

Automation Services Co. was presented with several awards from SBC for 2005. The company was given the President Club Award, which means it was the top data networking revenue agent in the southwest region, which includes Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas.

ASC was also the top revenue agent in the St. Louis market. ASC has three employees selling and servicing AT&T/SBC business products. All three employees are former SBC employees with more than 50 years of combined SBC employment.

Chamber kicking off membership drive

The Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce's annual membership drive will kick off on May 10. The chamber is looking for volunteers to recruit during the drive and members to offer prospect names. For more information, contact Cathi Schlosser at the chamber at 335-3312.

Van Matre Buick wins dealer award

Van Matre Buick in Cape Girardeau has won the Mark of Excellence Award, the company's most prestigious award for outstanding dealers who excel in customer satisfaction, sales and training. Mark Van Matre said he is extremely proud of the team of professionals at Van Matre Buick, many who have been at the dealership for many years.

This is Van Matre Buick's 15th year to win top honors with General Motors. They are currently in their 26th year of operation.
