Jackson R-II School Bus routes for 1995-96

Parents are asked to please teach their elementary students where they will be going after school. Name and address of parents or the daycare center or sitter is absolutely necessary to make certain that these younger students are on the right bus after school. It is very helpful to the teachers if this information can be sent to school with your child on the first day of school. Please help make your child's first day of school a happy one, send their bus information to their teacher. Please let your child ride the bus the first day of school so they will recognize their driver for the trip home after school. You can meet the bus at your child's school to take pictures of their first day.

Rural Routes

Bus #1, green circle, Merlin Williams. Leaves Transportation Center at 6:40. Route begins on county road 620, east on Rt. W, picking up to county road 616, west on 616, north on outer road, east on 614, north on Rt. W to Rt. Y, west on Rt. Y, south on 61 N. to Jackson, west on Park St., south on Russell, east on Cherry, south on Russell, east on Washington, north on Missouri, east on Mary, south on North High (61N) to Washington St. Stop loading, to schools.

Bus #2, blue circle, Wayne Kistner. Route begins at Jacos' on county road 481 at 7:00. Return through Millersville, back to Hwy. 72, east on 72, making stops on 72 for students coming to schools in Jackson from Rt. B to Lakeview Acres. Meet Bus #40, Angela Floyd in Lakeview for transfer of students. Bus #40 to schools in Jackson. Bus #2 will return west on 72 picking up students for the Millersville Attendance Center. In p.m. bus #2 will take home students living in Millersville before going to Lakeview Acres to meet bus #40.

Bus #4, orange heart, Cindy Roach. Leaves Transportation Center at 6:50. Route begins on county road 316 at 7:05. On 316, south on 319 making all stops to Rt. K. East on Rt. K to Hillcrest Manor, picking up in Hillcrest at Forestor, Hillvale, West Forestor and South Forestor. On Route K to county road 201, left on 201 making all stops. Offload at Gordonville Attendance Center. Not picking up on Hwy. 25 to Jackson.

Bus #5, red square, Sue Long. Route begins on Hwy. 34, just past county road 347, south on 343. Turn around, return to east on Hwy. 34, south on 341. Turn around, return on 34 to east on 34/72, south on county road 328, north on West Vale, east on 34/72, south on Westbrook, north on Hillcrest, east on Carolyn, return to east on 34/72. Left into Kiddie Kollege Daycare Center parking lot, load students, return east on Highway 72 to schools.

Bus #6, brown circle, Penny Kurre. Route begins at 6:40 on county road 607, making all stops. Return to Hwy. 177, east on 605, making all stops, return to Hwy. 177, east on 603 through to Rt. Y, west on Rt. W to North Elementary. Return on Rt. W to county road 601 picking up all students on 601 to Hwy. 61. This bus makes stops on Hwy. 61 from Rt. Y to Harmony Lane. (#435) Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #7, black square, Ken Mirly. Route begins on Rt. CC at Hines Landing at 6:50. Return to New Wells, making all stops on New Wells, south on Rt. C, east on county road #522 approximately 1 miles and return to C. South on C to Pocahontas, west on county road 530 approximately 1 miles, return south on C, west on country road 542, turn around, return south on C, south on 61, making one stop at North Land Hills. Go to North Elementary, meeting bus #8 for transfer of students. Bus #8 to schools in Jackson.

Bus #8, green heart, Olga Salmon. Route begins on county road #550 at 6:30. On 550, north on 549 east on 544, north on 553, west on 525, east on 532 to Elbachers, turn around, return on 532, west on 522 1 mile, turn around southwest 532 to Apple Creek Church, south on county road 543, east on 544, south on 549, west on 546, south on 543, to Hwy. 177, west on 177 to Rt. W and to North Elementary. Meet bus #7 for transfer of students. Then to schools in Jackson.

Bus #9, green triangle, Dorothy Eldracher. Route begins at 6:50 on county rod 436 at Ludwigs, on 436 to Rt. FF. East on Rt. FF, not stopping, past overpass, north on outer road, east on county road 533 to Hwy. 61, south on 61, making all stops to county road 541, east on 541 then return to south on 61, go through Cut-Mart Trailer Court making all stops, then to North Elementary to offload students.

Bus #10, brown heart, Wade Hoffman. Route begins at 6:37 on county road 513, north on 512, turn around and return on 512 to east on 516 to New Wells. West on CC to east on 522 2 miles, return to west on CC to south on Hwy. 61, south on 61, west on Rt. E, turn around and return south on 61 picking up all students to Rt. C. This bus serves the students in Whispering Heights. Then to North Elementary to offload students and meet bus #15 for transfer of students to Jackson.

Bus #12, orange heart, Stephen Golden. Route begins at 6:45 on Hwy. 34, west of Gravel Hill picking up all students to county road 360, south on 361, west on 362 to end. Turn around, north on 363 to 361, east on Hwy. 34 north on county road 347, west on 346 to Hwy. 72. Stop loading, on to Millersville Attendance Center. Receives transfer from bus #47, then to schools in Jackson.

Bus #14, pink square, Vicki Sander. Route begins on county road 370 at 6:45. Pick up on 370, east on 34, (not picking up on Hwy. 34, see Bus #12) north on Rt. UU to county line. Turn around, back on UU to north on county road 354, west on 356, turn around, back to north on 354, west on 350 to Jones, turn around, return on 350, west on 72, west on 352, return to 72, east on 72, making one stop at J&S, then to Millersville Attendance Center to offload. Receives transfers from Bus #22 for schools in Jackson.

Bus #15, blue square, Susan Neumann. Route begins on county road 553 at 6:30, making one stop midway between 544 and 550. On 553, east on 525, north on 535, (U.S. Hill) return to 525 on Neelys Landing, making all stops on 177 from Neelys Landing to Rt. W. This bus serves Bella Vista lakes. To North Elementary to offload students and receive transfers from Bus #10. Then to schools in Jackson.

Bus #18, green square, Alice Ahrens. Route begins on Rt. F, just north of Rt. OO at 6:50. East on 324 to 329, turn around, return to north on Rt. F, west on 367, 366, south on 365 approximately 1 1/2 miles, return on 365 to west on 364 approximately 1 mile, return on 364 to north on 365, northwest on 361 1 mile and return to 335 to 328, turn around, return on 335 to east on 330 to Rt. PP, stopping on Rt. PP from 330 to Hwy. 34/72 and to schools.

Bus #19, white square, Joan P. Cleaver. Route begins on Rt. F south on 376 at 6:40. North on F, west on 376 to end. Return, north on 375 to east on Rt. OO, south on Rt. F, east on Rt. Z, south on 233 approximately 2 miles, return to east on Rt. Z, south on 231, east on 222 to Rt. Z. Stop loading and to Gordonville Attendance Center then to schools in Jackson.

Bus #20, white circle, Tammy Hunt. Leave Transportation Center at 6:40, route begins on county road 226 at Nussbaums', west on 227, west on Rt. A, north on 231 to Bests', turn around, back east on Rt. A, left on Hwy. 25 picking up all students, left on 228, turn around, back to Hwy. 25 picking up to Rt. Z. Left into Shady Brook making only 4 stops. Return to Hwy. 25, left on Rt. Z to Gordonville Attendance Center. Back to north on Hwy. 25, not picking up, to schools in Jackson.

Bus #21, red heart, Sarah Turnbow. Route begins on county road 436 at 6:55 at Stearns residence. Returns south on 436, west and north on 439 to 438, turn around, return on 439 to east on FF, making all stops on Rt. FF to Hwy. 61 N. Offload at North Elementary, return north on Hwy. 61, west on FF, south on outer road, picking up at Weise Mobile Park. Stop loading to schools in Jackson.

Bus #22, red triangle, Carolyn Stearns. Route begins on county road 483 at 6:50. Return on 483, west on 476, east on 472, south on 473, east on Rt. BB, north on 471, return east on Rt. BB to north on Rt. B, east on 458, return to Rt. B, south on Rt. B, east on 462, return south on Rt. B, picking up all students to Millersville Attendance Center. Transfers students attending schools in Jackson to bus #14, Vicki Sander.

Bus #27, red diamond, Judy Mccormick. Route begins on Harmony Lane (435) at 6:55. North on #435 to FF, east on FF, not picking up, (see Bus 21) south on outer road to Mulberry Mobile Court. South on Hwy. 61, making all stops to Route Y. (from Rt. Y to Jackson see bus #6) east on Rt. Y, south on Greensferry Road (301) to Clover Hill Road 302. (Greensferry from 302 to Maryland see Bus 45) This bus also serves students in Strawberry Acres on Rt. D. Then to schools.

Bus #31, white triangle, Molly Robinson. Route begins in Rt. W Mobile court at 7:10. Picking up only those students previously assigned to bus #3. On Rt. W to Lamplighter Trailer Park. On 61 E to Jackson, north on Shawnee Ave., stopping at Parkwood Circle and Shawnee Circle. Then to schools.

Bus #33, blue circle, W.L. Voges. Route begins on county road 324 at 7:00 at Woods. Return on 324 to Sieberts, turn around, back on 324, east on 332, south on 327, east on Rt. Z picking up on Rt. Z from 327 to Hwy. 25. North on Hwy. 25, west on 325, east on Rt. Z to Gordonville Attendance Center. Return east on Rt. Z to north on Hwy. 25, making all stops on Hwy. 25 to Jackson.

Bus #35, green diamond, Herb Lichtenegger. Route begins on county road 318 at 7:05. East on 318 to Bakers and stop loading. (other students on 318 see bus #37) east on 314, north on 313, making all stops on 313. Wes ton Hwy. 61 to left on Kimbeland, around to Tendercare Daycare Center. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #37, blue diamond, Doug golden. Route begins on county road 318 at 7:00 at Kellers. East on Rt. K to Parkwood Mobile Court. Turn around, return west on Rt. K to Hillcrest picking up students in Jackson. Return west on Rt. K making all stops from county road 201 to Hwy. 25 (other students on Rt. K see Bus #20) South on Hwy. 25, west on Rt. Z, not picking up to Gordonville Attendance Center. Return north on Hwy. 25 to Grandview Acres, making all stops in Grandview. Stop loading and to school.

Bus #40, purple circle, Angela Ford. Route begins at drivers home on county road 468 at 7:05. East on 468, south on 465, east on 450, turn around, continue south on 465, to W. on Hwy. 72 to Lakeview Acres. Meet bus #2 for transfer of students. #2 to Millersville Attendance Center, #40 to schools in Jackson. Bus #40 makes all stops on Hwy. 72 from Lakeview Acres to Straightway Service Center.

Bus #43, purple triangle, Allen Leech. Route begins on Rt. Y, east on Rt. Y at 6:55, south on 621 east on 638 to Black Forest, turn around, return south on 621 to Rt. W, not picking up on Rt. W, see bus #1. This bus picks up Route W Trailer Park. West on 618 to overpass. Stop loading, on to schools in Jackson.

Bus #44, purple heart, Jane Oehl. Route begins at drivers home on Rt. D at 6:40. North on Rt. D, east on 440 approximately 2 miles. Turn around, return south on Rt. D, west on 454, north on 453 to Terrys, return to 454, south on 457, east on 458, turn around, south on 459, east on Rt. D, north on 442, west on 444, south on Rt. D, south on Broadridge, making all stops on Broadridge to east on Orchard Drive. Stop loading at Willow Bend and to schools.

Bus #47, pink triangle, Esther Cook. Route begins at county road 371 at Bollinger County line at 6:45. Return on 371, south on Rt. U, west on 381, north on 383 1 mile and return to 381, cross Rt. U, east on 380, northwest on Rt. OO, west on 382, turn around, return north on Rt. OO, east on 360, Burfordville. Return east on Hwy. 34, not picking up, north on 349 picking up on 349 to Hwy. 72. Stop loading. Offload at Millersville Attendance Center. Transfer students for schools in Jackson to bus #12.

Town Routes

Bus #1, green circle, Merlin Williams. This route begins west on Park St. at 7:30, south on Russell, east on Cherry St., south on Russell, east on Washington, north on Missouri, east on Mary, south on North High (61N) to Washington St. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #3, brown diamond, Dwayne Hanners. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:00. Route beings on W. Jackson Blvd. between Colorado and Oklahoma Sts. North on Oklahoma St., west on Monroe, north on Colorado, east on Madison, north on Russell, west on West Main, south on S. Union, west on Dallas, north on Daisy, east W. Main, north on Union, west on Washington, north on Farmington, west on Oak, north on Henderson, west on Priest, south on Elmwood around to north on Elwanda, west on Oak, south on East Lane, east on Rolling Fields, west on Oak to Broadridge. Stop loading and to schools. (Students living on W. Adams, see bus #38.)

Bus #5, red square, Sue Long. Old Toll Road, north on West Vale, east on W. Jackson Blvd. not picking up on E. Jackson Blvd. (see bus #38) south on Westbrook, south on Cathy Dr., west on Carolyn, south on Hillcrest, east on Cathy, back to 34/72 east, turn into parking lot at Kiddie Kollege, stop loading, East on Dallas, north on Farmington Rd. east on Adams to schools.

Bus #9, green triangle, Dorothy Eldracher. East into Sunset Hills, south on Brookview, east on Goodson, north on Douglas, west on Francis Dr. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #11, orange circle, Butch Schneider. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:10. Route begins in Rosedale Subdivision off Rt. D. North on Rosebud, around to Tanglewood and back to east on Rt. D (Independence), stop at Barks Trailer Park, south on Farmington Rd., making all stops to Oak St. West on Cecile, south on Alvin, east on Dorothy Drive, south on Farmington Rd., east on Oak, north on Morgan, east on Randy, south on Union to Oak St. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #16, black heart, Carol Woods. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:10. Route begins on North Neal St. at Morton, east on Morton, south on Wayne, left on Woodland, north on Plainview, east on Morton, south on Donald, not picking up on Woodland or Shawnee, east on Mulberry, south on Sycamore, north on Cedar. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #23, orange square, Charles Ahrens. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:00. Route beings on Lake St., right on Berchman, left on Highland, right on Royal, left on Crow, left on Pawnee, right on Highland, right on Cherokee, right on Apache, left on Royal, right on Shady Lane, left on Jackson Trail to Hwy. 25. Stop loading.

Bus #25, brown square, Bobbie Venable. Leave Transportation Center at 6:50. Route begins on Ridge Road east of Lakeshore Drive to end of Ridge Road. Turn around, back to south on Oak Hill Road, east on Bainbridge Road to overpass. Turn around, return on Bainbridge, making all stops to Old Cape Road. West on Old Cape Road stopping on Old Cape form bainbridge to Shawnee. Stop loading and to school.

Bus #26, orange triangle, Ann Farrow. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:00. Route begins on E. Jackson Blvd. (61E) past Highland Drive entrance to Indian Hills. South on Kimbel Lane, east on Country club, south on Kimbeland, northwest on Greenway, east on E. Jackson Blvd., making all stops on south side (door side) south into Annwood on Brittany Drive, east on Dana, north and east on Nicole Lane, north on Brittany and east on Jackson Blvd. to north on Wedekind, west on Jackson Blvd. making all stops on north side (door side), northwest on Old. Cape Road, northeast on Smith, north on Trailridge, west on Whitney Jean, south on Drew, west on Old Cape, north on Donna, west on Otto, cross Old Cape Rd., pick up on Otto Dr. to Donna Dr., south on Donna, stop loading at E. Jackson Blvd. To schools.

Bus #27, red diamond, Judy McCormick. This route serves students living on Greensferry Rd. from Route Y to Cloverhill Trailer court. Then goes to Rt. D, into Strawberry Acres subdivision. South on Strawberry Lane, west on Nell Green, north on Connie, around to south on Pecan, south on Connie, east on Strawberry Lane back to Rt. D. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #31, white triangle, Molly Robinson. After rural route this bus picks up students on Shawnee St. from Brandom to Parkwood Circle at 7:35.

Bus #32, black circle, Albert Aufdenberg. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:10. Route begins at Michael-Anna and Corinne, east on Corinne, making all stops to Old Cape Road, west on Old Cape picking up from Corinne to John St. ONLY, (rest of Old Cape see bus #36) south on John St., east on Corinne, east on Old Cape, north on Shawnee, west on Bel-Air, picking up on Lyndhurst, Anna, Crestwood and Lamar, north on Kies Ave., west on East Adams, south on Neal, west on Jefferson St., north on Bellevue to East Adams, west on E. Adams to Maryland St. Stop loading and to schools. Students on Maryland see Bus #38.

Bus #36, blue triangle, Larry Woods. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:15. Route begins on East Main at Bellevue at 7:25. Picking up all students on East Main, except Next Generation, see Bus #42. North on Donald, east on Woodland, south on Tracy, east on E. Main, south on Shawnee, making one stop at Shawnee at apartments. Stop at Good News Daycare, west on Old Cape road, making all stops except between Corinne and John (See bus #32). Stop loading on Old Cape Road at bridge and to schools.

Bus #38, black diamond, Jackie Strack. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:10. Route begins at 517 West Jackson Blvd., then stops at 72 and Westridge. East on West Adams, south on Missouri, east on Madison, south on High St., east on Monroe, north on Ohio, east on E. Adams, north on South Maryland, west on E. Main, north on Georgia, west on Washington, north on Ohio, east on Kate, north on Maryland St., west on Florence, south on North Hope St. to Washington. Stop loading and to schools.

bus #41, purple square, Zelda Parker. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:10. First stop at Mary St. between Hwy. 61N and Hope St. North on Hope St., east on Greensferry Road, south on new part of Eastview court, making all stops on Eastview. Not picking until Odus Drive, make all stops on Odus, turn around in Litz Park, return to south on August St., making all stops on August, west on Emma, south end of Eastview Ct. west on Nellie, north on Maryland, west on Emma, north on Georgia, west on Greensferry, south on Hope St. to Mary St. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #42, purple diamond, Joan Evans. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:10. Route begins on East Main at Next Generation Daycare, north on Shawnee, north on Lakeshore Dr., north on Lakewoods, east on Litz Blvd., to Wedgewood, turn around, returning south on Ridge Road, east on Fairway, south on Birdie around to North on Eagle Dr., and south on Shawnee to East Main. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #44, purple heart, Jane Oehl. South on Broadridge, picking up on Broadridge to Orchard Dr., east on Orchard to Willow Bend. Stop loading.

Bus #45, pink circle, Judy Kraemer. Leaves Transportation Center at 7:05. Route begins in Cloverhill Trailer Court on county road 302. Return to Greensferry Road, east on Clark St., north on Hannah, west on Jessica, south on Rebecca and return to Greensferry Rd., turn on Walnut, Forrest and Independence. Turn around, return on Olive to Greensferry Rd., picking up to Maryland St. Stop loading and to schools.
