BENTON -- Travis Burger, 14, recently completed all requirements for Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouting.

For Burger's service project, he and five co-workers spend more than 60 hours in the planning and construction of an 18-foot corsswalk at Felker's Park in Benton.

A member of Troop 25, Burger has been active in scouting since joining Cub Pack 36 in 1984. He earned the Arrow of Light Award as a Webelo.

Burger has earned 30 merit badges. He was elected to the Order of the Arrow. Currently he serves as an instructor for Troop 25. Previously he held the offices of scribe and assistant patrol leader.

A freshman at Thomas W. Kelly High School in Benton, he is on the honor roll and is a member of Pep Club, Future Farmner's of America and the freshman basketball team.

He is the son of Bobby and Robin Burger of Benton. His scout master is Jim Arteme.
