Cynthia Rowland McClure, former bulimic and television news journalist, will present "Food For the Hungry Heart," a presentation on her struggle with bulimia.

The program is Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Dempster Auditorium in Crisp Hall of Nursing on the Southeast Missouri State University campus.

Admission is free. The public is invited.

At age 28, McClure was a successful, award-winning television news journalist and she was dying from bulimia. McClure was hospitalized for three months where she fought for her life and won.

After her recovery, McClure decided to share her experiences with persons afflicted with eating disorders. Her efforts have produced three books and a series of lectures.

"Food For the Hungry Heart" is co-sponsored by the Center for Health and Counseling and the Office of Campus Activities and the University Center.
