A quadriplegic rugby player from St. Louis will speak on overcoming adversity and disability Tuesday on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. Kerri Morgan, captain of the St. Louis Rugby Rams quad rugby team, will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Crisp Hall, room 125. Morgan is paralyzed from the waist down and plays quad rugby, a sport for quadriplegics of varying degrees of paralysis. As captain of the Rams, Morgan is one of the few female players in a male-dominated sport. The sport, once known as murderball, was the subject of a 2005 Oscar-nominated documentary.
