Hobby Lobby recalls Christmas lights for shock, fire hazard

Hobby Lobby Inc. announced a recall Thursday for Christmas light sets for possible electric shock and fire hazard. The lights are sold under the Hobby Lobby name. The recalled light sets have either E-214285, E-124315 or E-65692 printed on the upper left side of the white tags attached to the wire. Lights should be returned to a Hobby Lobby store. Kennett woman named to Mizzou board of curators

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Kennett, Mo., Democrat Judith Haggard has been appointed to the University of Missouri Board of Curators. Gov. Matt Blunt appointed Haggard on Thursday. Her appointment is subject to Senate confirmation. Haggard is a family nurse practitioner at SEMO Health Network. She earned her undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She replaces Dr. Anne Ream of West Plains, whose term expires Jan. 1. The board of curators is the governing body of a four-campus system.
