Bridge repairs on I-55 will reduce lanes

Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau and Scott counties will be reduced to one lane while Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform routine bridge maintenance. The first section is in Scott County on north and southbound Interstate 55. There will be work on various bridges between Route PP and Route AB. Work on this section will be conducted daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday thru Aug. 19. The second section in Cape Girardeau County is on northbound I-55 on the bridge between U.S. 61 and Highway 74. Work on this section will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 19.
