BRANSON, Mo. (AP) -- Parts of Branson are getting soaked as the Army Corps of Engineers releases record amounts of water from Table Rock Lake to cope with heavy rains.

The lake is expected to crest late Saturday at an all-time high of 933 feet above sea level.

The Corps will continue to release a record amount of water through Table Rock Dam until at least Tuesday. It is letting out 34,000 cubic feet per second.

That water flows into Lake Taneycomo in Branson, which is expected to rise three to five feet above its current flood level through the weekend.

More than two dozen residents living along Lake Taneycomo were asked to voluntarily evacuate.

Water was also over the riverwalk at the Branson Landing shopping center, although the stores were safe.
