A Boy Scout Trade-O-Ree, an event where youths and adults come together to buy, sell, and trade Scouting memorabilia, will be held in Cape Girardeau this weekend.

The event will run from 6 p.m. until midnight on Friday and from 8 a.m. until around 6 p.m. Saturday, at the VFW Hall on North Kingshighway.

"We look for several hundred people to be at this two day event with 60-70 tables of traders," said Jerry Hampton, scoutmaster of Troop 5, which is sponsoring the Trade-O-Ree.

"There will be Scouters and Scouts from Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and other states. We also expect a large number of local people to attend," said Hampton.

Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for youth, except that Scouts in full uniform are admitted at no charge.
