BOY, 3, HURT IN ACCIDENT

PERRYVILLE -- A 3-year-old Patton boy was treated Friday at Perry County Memorial Hospital for injuries he received in a traffic accident.

The boy, Alex Jacobs, was released following treatment.

The accident occurred at 3:35 p.m. on Highway 51 at Route KK near the Perry and Bollinger county line, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.

Jacobs was a passenger in a westbound car driven by Betty Dodd, 41, of Sedgewickville.

The accident occurred as Dodd was attempting to make a U-turn and pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by Warren Thomas, 76, of Marble Hill, the patrol said.
