HORNERSVILLE, Mo. -- A Friday evening accident on Missouri Highway 164, west of Hornersville, left a local woman dead, the Daily Dunklin Democrat newspaper reported. HORNERSVILLE, Mo. -- A Friday evening accident on Missouri Highway 164, west of Hornersville, left a local woman dead, the Daily Dunklin Democrat newspaper reported.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper B.W. Emerson, the accident occurred at approximately 7:21 p.m., as Trenton Burns, 17, of Hornersville, was traveling westbound in a 2004 Ford when he struck Tiffany Fisher, 18, also of Hornersville, who was walking on the roadway.

Fisher was pronounced dead by Dunklin County Coroner Jack Adkins at approximately 8:35 p.m., and next of kin was notified.

The accident marks the 12th fatality for Troop E in 2010.
