CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- A woman is charged in connection with a shooting that left one person injured.

Fonda Baxter, 31, of Steele, Mo., is charged with hindering prosecution and endangering the welfare of a child for her role following an April 9 shooting.

According to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, on April 17 authorities were searching for Lee Houston after he was identified as a suspect in the shooting in Holland, Mo., and determined he might be at a house in Steele.

At the house, Baxter told officers she didn't know where Houston was, Greenwell said in a news release.

Later Baxter gave consent to search the residence, and Houston was found hiding in the attic.

Baxter's bond is set at $25,000.
