The Cape Girardeau Public Library is celebrating National Children's Book week with programs Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, students in grades six and up can participate in Mind Melt, a quiz show in Jeopardy form, starting at 4 p.m. The program is free, but registration is required. All entrants will receive prizes, and refreshments will be served...

The Cape Girardeau Public Library is celebrating National Children's Book week with programs Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday, students in grades six and up can participate in Mind Melt, a quiz show in Jeopardy form, starting at 4 p.m. The program is free, but registration is required. All entrants will receive prizes, and refreshments will be served.

On Friday, all ages are invited to meet Mother Goose from 2 to 3:15 p.m. She will read her favorite stories. No reservation is required. Refreshments will be served, and children will have a chance to talk with Mother Goose.

In addition, the library is holding daily drawings this week. Children may sign up for the drawings at the Youth Services desk and need not be present to win.
