__The last state audit indicated the county clerk's office could do a better job with coordinating with other offices in the courthouse to make record keeping and communication more efficient. What are some ways to improve in this regard?:__
Processes have been implemented to correct all the issues indicated in the last audit concerning the County Clerk's office. If elected I will make it a priority to continue to work with the other offices to ensure efficient record keeping.
__How can the county clerk's office help in improving voter participation?:__
The County Clerk's office along with the state is always working to improve voter participation. We recently set up an access portal for overseas military voters to be able to register to vote, request/receive an absentee ballot. If elected I plan to reach out to the community by doing registration drives throughout the county and stressing that every vote truly does count.(Example: August 1998 the presiding commissioner race was won by just a single vote!)
__Why are you the best candidate for the position?:__
By working in this office for seven years, my experience, my understanding of the many fascists of the County Clerk's office, and the interactions required with the different offices to complete those tasks will enable me to fill the position seamlessly. I feel my knowledge of the day to day, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities that must be performed will be an asset to Bollinger County. I am also open to learning more efficient processes.
