MARBLE HILL -- Bollinger County Presiding Commissioner Elwood Mouser faces two challengers in the August Republican primary.
The winner will face the Democratic candidate, Marble Hill businessman Kenny Trentham, in the November election.
Mouser faces opposition in the primary from Bill Fulton of Patton and William N. Nitsch of Sedgewickville.
Nitsch filed Tuesday, the last day for filing for the August election.
Associate Circuit Judge Scott Thomsen, a Republican, is opposed by Democratic candidate Bill Hopkins, who is the county's prosecuting attorney.
Marble Hill lawyer Stephen Gray, a Republican, is set to become the county's next prosecuting attorney. He is the lone candidate on the ballot to replace Hopkins.
County Clerk Diane Holzum, Treasurer Naomi Null, Circuit Clerk and Recorder Sharon Lutes and Collector Bob Anderson are unopposed for re-election. Anderson is a Democrat. The other officeholders are Republicans.
