Body Found in Mississippi River Identified as Missing Cape Girardeau Woman The Mississippi County Coroner has identified a body found in the river as Rose Mary Weaver, who went missing on July 30. No foul play is suspected.

A body found Sunday, Aug. 4, in the Mississippi River in Mississippi County has been identified as missing person Rose Mary Weaver, last seen July 30 in Cape Girardeau.

According to Mississippi County Coroner Terry Parker, Weaver’s body was found in the river in a place called Moore’s Landing near Wyatt.

In an email to the Southeast Missourian, Parker said an autopsy was conducted Tuesday, Aug. 6, and the body was confirmed to be Weaver's on Wednesday, Aug. 7. He said there was "no foul play."

According to a post on the Cape Girardeau’s Police Department’s Facebook page, Weaver was last seen on Broadway and North Main Street. The post described Weaver as “suffering from depression and has made suicidal statements to family members.”
