Firefighters responded to a fire Friday night at Twitty Farm Equipment in Lilbourn and fought the blaze until after 3 a.m. Saturday. The body was discovered when fire officials were sifting through the building's remains.

"We had no idea of a person being in an equipment place. It was surprising to us," said David McClarty, chief of the Lilbourn Volunteer Fire Department.

The identity of the body and the cause of the fire were still undetermined, he said.
