The board members also voted to employ Gerald Richards, current principal at Central Junior High School, as part-time personnel director for the 2002-03 school year.

Mark Bowles is the current personnel director and will become superintendent in July when Dan Steska, the current superintendent, retires.

Richards will also retire at the end of the year from his duties as principal, but will still be able to work 550 hours per year while collecting retirement benefits from the state.
