Southeast Missouri State University's Board of Regents will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Glenn Convocation Center at the River Campus for a strategic planning session.
The board will meet to discuss the vision of the university, an environmental scan, the university's performance and obstacles and to develop a planning guide for use during the next three to five years. The regents also will consider issuing bonds to finance construction of an expansion of instructional space and a housing option at the River Campus, and refinancing previously-issued bonds.
Dr. William Weary of Fieldstone Consulting will lead the session, which also will include the swearing in of the newest regent, Jay Knudtson.
The board also will hold a closed-session meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, and at a 9 a.m. open session, the board will present a strategic planning report. The board agenda is available www.semo.edu/board/meeting_info.htm.
