Bloomfield Road to close between Stonebridge and Benton Hill Road

Bloomfield Road will be closed between Stonebridge Drive and Benton Hill Road (County Road 206) beginning today, according to a news release from the city of Cape Girardeau. No traffic will be allowed through this section of road. It will be rebuilt with a new concrete surface, curbs and gutters. Associated utility relocations and adjustments, underground drainage systems and retaining structures are included. The construction period is scheduled to be 240 calendar days. The public is urged to avoid using Bloomfield Road if possible. Detour routes will guide traffic around the closed portion.
