The American Red Cross continues its Code Yellow blood supply alert to urge people to prevent shortages of certain blood types.

A Code Yellow is a cautionary situation, just a step above a Code Red, which means the Red Cross desperately needs blood.

Due to a liver transplant for a 4-month-old child at a local hospital, blood types O negative and B negative are in short supply.

Donors may give Saturday from 8 to noon at the Grace Methodist Church, Broadway and Caruthers. The drive is sponsored by Pipefitters Local 562.
