"American Red Cross thanks all of the dedicated donors who gave blood last week," said Linda Rapp, chief operating officer of the regional blood services. "The blood has been sent out to meet the immediate needs of area hospitals. To continue to meet hospital needs, more donors are still needed."

Currently, the Red Cross supply of type O stands at 27 percent of the level needed to maintain hospital supplies. In addition, the supply of type A is at 37 percent, and the supply of type B is at 53 percent.

A blood drive is scheduled Nov. 3 from 2-6 p.m. at Advance Elementary School in Advance.
