DUTCHTOWN -- A Chaffee woman died Thursday night near Blomeyer just four days after two other Chaffee area residents were killed near the same place Easter night.
A spokesman for the Missouri Highway Patrol said Anna M. Davis, 33, died about one mile south of Dutchtown on Highway 25 after the accident at 5:05 p.m.
She was driving a pickup southbound and sideswiped two northbound vehicles before crashing head-on into a third vehicle, the patrol said.
Bradley H. Drew, 26, of Chaffee received serious injuries in the vehicle that Davis hit. He was transported to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
The sideswiped vehicles included a pickup driven by Earl W. Rickman, 34, of Bloomfield and a pickup driven by Thirman W. White, 69, of Jackson. Maxine White, 73, was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital with minor injuries.
In another head-on collision, five people in two vehicles were injured near Commerce Friday about 1 p.m.
The patrol said Robin D. Natvig, 32, of Commerce crossed the centerline of Highway E and collided head-on with a car driven by Tanya Welker, 20, of Cape Girardeau.
The patrol said Natvig had serious injuries. She was in the orthpedic ward Friday night at St. Francis Medical Center.
Marti Choate, 24, of Cape Girardeau was a passenger in the Natvig vehicle. The patrol said he suffered serious injuries; he was in St. Francis Friday night.
Welker was treated and released from St. Francis, as was her mother, Connie Welker, who a passenger in the car.
Kay Cooper, 24, of Cape Girardeau, also a passenger in the Welker vehicle, was in the ward at St. Francis. The patrol said she suffered serious injuries.
A two-vehicle accident at Gordonville early Friday morning sent three to Southeast Missouri Hospital for treatment.
The patrol said William R. Ulrich, 58, of Gordonville was driving northbound on Highway 25 at the Route K when Jeffrey Davis, 23, of Cape Girardeau didn't halt at the stop sign and struck the Ulrich vehicle.
Davis was listed with serious injuries following the 6:05 a.m. accident. A passenger in his car, Elizabeth Johnson, 29, of Whitewater, also had serious injuries. Another passenger, Corylee Johnson, 7, was listed with minor injuries.
