A local Blockbuster store will stop renting movies and video games Saturday in preparation to close its doors permanently.
The Cape Girardeau location was identified as one of 300 lowest-earning stores nationwide slated for closure, said manager Maryjane Gibbens.
Customers should return all outstanding media by Saturday to avoid incurring late fees, she said.
The store will be closed Sunday to prepare for a liquidation sale of remaining merchandise that will begin Monday and continue through March 24.
