BILL FRENCH ORCHESTRA TO PLAY MAY 7 ROTARY DANCE AT ARENA

The Bill French Orchestra will provide the entertainment May 7 at a benefit dance sponsored by Cape Girardeau Rotary Club 448.

The dance, the club's primary fund-raising effort, will be held from 8-midnight at the A.C. Brase Arena Building.

The French Orchestra plays dance band music from six decades of popular music.

Also entertaining will be "Fiddlist" Stevie Schaffner, who combines elements of music, humor and showmanship in his performance.

Schaffner has played at the Grand Ole Opry and is the orchestra director in the Cape Girardeau Public Schools.
