BIG BEND ROAD TO CLOSE FOR REPAIRS

A portion of Big Bend Road will be closed through mid-April for a repair project.

The city will close Big Bend Road from Mason to Second Street beginning today. It should open to traffic April 18.

Local traffic will be detoured from Big Bend Road, also Highway 177, on side streets. Truck traffic will be detoured from Big Bend at Lexington on the north and at Morgan Oak on the south. It will continue via Sprigg Street.

North End Boulevard and Olive Street also will be closed while the city repairs a portion of the road at the Sloan Creek bridge.
