BICYCLE RIDES
Bicycle riders will meet at Schaper's IGA in Jackson at 2 p.m. Sunday for the Velo Girardeau Bicycle Club's 44-mile "Daisy Run" Sunday. The final ride of June will be the Trail of Tears Warped Circle Tour, a distance of 30 miles. Rider will meet at Kent Library on Southeast Missouri State University campus on June 30 at 2;30 p.m. for the ride.
The first July ride by the club will be the Oran Run, a distance of 35 miles. Rider will meet at Dutchtown at 2 p.m. for the July 2 ride.
The Velo Club made its first appearance on the Katy Trail last weekend, taking a 30-mile ride from Augusta, Mo. to Weldon Springs and back.
