BICYCLE RIDES

Bicycle riders will meet at McClure, Ill. Elementary School Sunday at 2 p.m. for the Velo Girardeau Bicycle Club's 42-mile, Grapevine Trail Scenic Circle ride in Southern Illinois.

The Velo Club will take its first ride on the Katy Trail June 16. Riders will meet at Kent Library on Southeast Missouri State University campus at 7 a.m., or at Francis Howell High School on Highway 94 in St. Charles. The ride will be from Augusta, Mo. to Weldon Springs and back, a distance of 30 level miles.

"More details will be announced later," said a spokesman of the club.
