BICYCLE RIDES
Bicycle riders will meet at Dutchtown at 2 p.m. Sunday for the Velo Girardeau Bicycle Club's 35-mile "Oran Run." The ride will feature a flat ride through farm country and small towns. The Velo Club will host a 25-mile ride July 14, the "Greensferry Ride," a scenic loop between Cape Girardeau and Jackson. Margaret Popham will be ride director. Riders will meet at Kent Library on Southeast Missouri State University campus at 2 p.m. for the July 14 ride.
The VELO Girardeau Club also sponsors Tuesday and Thursday rides during the summer. Riders meet at Cherry Hill in Capaha Park for the weekday rides at 6:30 p.m.
