The Better Breathers' Club will hold its annual Christmas party at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Bingo and a covered dish lunch are scheduled for the day.

The club is offered free of charge by the American Lung Association of Eastern Missouri.

The club sponsors monthly meetings to help persons with lung disease better understand their condition, develop self-care skills for easier breathing, and increase their self-reliance and confidence.

Each meeting offers a presentation by a physician or health professional with time allotted for questions and discussion. Social time for informal visits, entertainment or refreshments are also provided.

All persons with respiratory problems, their friends and family members are encouraged to attend.
