A Bernie, Mo., man was seriously injured in a traffic accident Monday after his vehicle was struck by a school bus. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an accident occurred at 4 p.m. on U.S. 60 at Route FF, two miles west of Sikeston, as northbound motorist Carl A. Counts, 25, of Sikeston, who was driving a school bus, failed to yield and pulled into the path of the westbound vehicle driven by Derek D. Craft, 24, of Bernie. The school bus was carrying no passengers. Craft was taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Counts was uninjured.
