SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. - A Benton man is in serious condition after being ejected from the vehicle he was riding in Saturday night.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Thomas B. Hooper, 22, of Benton was driving his 2003 Mitsubishi on Route N around 6:20 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle. The Mitsubishi then ran off the roadway, overturned several times and ejected Hooper and Rhandy D. Myers, 21, of Benton.
Both men were taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center. Hooper was treated for minor injuries while Myers sustained serious injuries.
Neither man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, the highway patrol said.
