Benton man arrested on stalking charges

BENTON, Mo. -- A Benton man was in the Scott County Jail on Friday after his arrest on stalking charges.

Jason Delrosario, 36, was arrested Thursday on charges of aggravated stalking, two counts of violation of an ex-parte order, peace disturbance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter.

According to Walter, Delrosario sent unwanted text and voices messages and made uninvited appearances at a female victim's residence over the past several weeks. Delrosario was contacted by law enforcement and warned about his behavior, Walter said, but ignored the warnings and a court issued ex-parte order and continued to make contact with the victim. The release said Delrosario's behavior toward the victim became more aggressive and he threatened violence.

Delrosario was arrested where he worked and Walter said deputies found drug paraphernalia in his possession. His bond is set at $5,000.
