JACKSON -- A benefit auction and dance for Jeffrey Dale Henry, who suffered serious injuries in an October traffic accident near Jackson, will be held at the Jackson Knights of Columbus Hall April 3.

Henry is undergoing therapy at a Gallatin, Tenn., rehabilitation center, said a family member.

Henry, 27, of Burfordville, suffered head injuries when he lost control of the truck he was driving about 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8 on Highway 34 near Jackson. The truck struck a utility pole.

"He was in a coma for several weeks," said Mike Sprouse," one of those who is helping arrange the benefit. "We don't know how much longer he will have to undergo therapy."

Henry and his wife, Brenda, are parents of a one-year-old child.

"Plans are now under way to establish a trust fund for the family," said Saundra Lix, sister of Brenda Henry.

Activities at the auction/dance will get under way at 7 p.m., with the dance to start at 8 p.m.

"A regular and silent auction of donated items will be held," said Lix.
