BEKKI COOK TO ADDRESS GRADS

Missouri Secretary of State Bekki Cook will give the keynote address at the spring commencement at Southeast Missouri State University.

Commencement exercises are scheduled for 2 p.m. May 6 in the Show Me Center. Both spring and summer graduates will participate in the ceremony, and 672 undergraduates and 58 graduate students will receive diplomas.

Cook, a Cape Girardeau lawyer, was appointed to the Secretary of State's office in December. She became Missouri's 36th Secretary of State and the first Cape Girardeau County native to hold state office in 93 years.
