BEAUTY PAGEANTS PLANNED

The Delta Rho Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi in Hayti will sponsor its annual beauty pageants Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Hayti High School Gym.

The Miss Jingle Belle contest is for girls age 3-5. They must wear short dresses in the holiday colors of red, green, gold, white, silver or a combination of these. Practice will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 15.

The Junior Miss Christmas Belle is for girls 9-12. They must wear dresses in the same holiday colors. Either long or short dresses are allowed in this category. Practice will be at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15.

The Miss Christmas Belle contest is for girls in the 9th through 12th grades, who have never been married or have never had children. These entrants must wear long dresses in the holiday colors. Practice will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 15.

A $15 entry fee must accompany applications. Entrants must be sponsored by a civic club or a business. Deadline for entree is before practice Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Hayti High School Gym.

No late entries will be accepted. Applications are available at Flowers by Sanders on the square in Hayti and at Creations on Highway 412 in Hayti.
