The Safe House for Women and Barnes and Noble at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau will partner to raise money for victims of domestic and sexual violence from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Cape Girardeau bookstore. Barnes and Noble will donate a percentage of the sale of all merchandise purchased at the store to the domestic violence program. Events during the day include a 10 a.m. story time with Cookie the Mouse and a 2 p.m. book signing with Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney Morley Swingle. Swingle's new short story, Hard Blows, is included in "The Prosecution Rests," a collection of 22 stories.
