BALLOON EXHIBITION IN STE. GENEIVIEVE
STE. GENEVIEVE The historic town of Ste. Genevieve will hold an air balloon exhibition, called "Voyage de Ste. Genevieve" to commemorate the first manned ascent of a "lighter-than-air machine" over Paris in 1783. The exhibition will take off at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Pierre Marquette City Park soccer field on North Main Street. Guided tours of historic downtown Ste. Genevieve will be offered at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday beginning at the Great River Roads Interpretive Center, 66 North Main.
