Sharon Williams, owner of Williams Hearing Center in Cape Girardeau, has been elected to the Missouri Hearing Aid Society Board of Directors.
Williams was elected director during the group's annual educational convention held at Lake of the Ozarks last weekend.
The organization was founded during the early 1950s to educate its members, further the interest of the hard-of-hearing, and enhance the image of the hearing aid dealer.

Jim Zieba of Curtis Mathis Home Entertainment Center, 52 Plaza Way, recently attended the Rentex Dealer Exposition at Atlanta, Ga.
Zieba attended several workshops and seminars during the exposition, which featured exhibition displays of all types of equipment and products offered by rent-to-own operators.
Zieba was the first to operate a rent-to-own store in Cape Girardeau. Among items offered are televisions, VCRs, stereos, microwaves, vacuums and kitchen appliances.

Joseph H. Dirden of Coad Chevrolet Inc. in Cape Girardeau has achieved the Professional Member qualification in the 1991 GMC Truck 5-Star Performers Sales Master program.
The program is designed to recognize and improve performances of dealership sales personnel, based on sales, training, and development of successful customer satisfaction.
Dirden will be recognized during a special honors banquet to be held in Ashville, N.C.
Dirden, of Cape Girardeau, has been associated with Coad Chevrolet for seven years. He is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

Peggy R. McLain of West Park Travel Agency in Cape Girardeau recently completed a four-day tour of the Miami, Fla., area.
She toured four cruise ships: the Ecstasy, Fantasy, Holiday and Celebration.
The ships, all of Carnival Cruise Lines, offer three-to-seven-day cruises. Carnival has also unveiled plans for three new superliners over the next three years: the Sensation in 1993, Fascination in 1994, and Imagination in 1995.
