Dr. Harold D. Ridings of Cape Girardeau has been honored by the Missouri State Medical Association for his 50 years in the practice of medicine.
Ridings was among physicians honored during ceremonies at the MSMA's annual convention recently at Tan-Tar-A resort at Lake of the Ozarks.
Physicians received pins in recognition of their status as 50-year members of the association.

Dr. Douglas Wyatt has successfully completed the certifying examination and has been named a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery.
Wyatt moved to Cape Girardeau in October 1992, from Clovis, N.M., where he was in practice. He is associated with the Cape Girardeau Surgery Clinic, 10 Doctors' Park.
He is a graduate of Texas Tech University. He did his internship in California and his residency in Johnstown, Pa., in a Temple University affiliate hospital.

Rebecca Myracle, recovery room nurse, has been named 1993 Nurse of the Year at St. Francis Medical Center.
Myracle, of Gordonville, a registered nurse at St. Francis since 1976, also serves as secretary of the Southeast Missouri Post Anesthesia Nurses Association and is a member of the Missouri-Kansas and American Society of Post Anesthesia Nurses.
In 1990 she achieved clinical nurse III status through the medical center's career advancement program.

Marvin Miller, special representative for the Franklin Insurance Co. in Cape Girardeau, recently received his National Association of Securities Dealers series 6 license.
With the license, Miller will be registered with Franklin Financial Services of Springfield, Ill., to sell mutual funds and variable investments products.
Miller joined Franklin in 1991.

Mary Heisserer of Cape Girardeau was a grand prize winner of a gift basket of Mary Kay products during a recent Mary Kay Cosmetics guest night celebration held by the Jana Jateff Unit. Heisserer also won a beauty book entitled "Inside Beauty."

Williamson Business Machines of Cape Girardeau is a winner in the Canon U.S.A Inc. contest, and will receive a trip for two to the Greater Hartford Open June 25-27.
The win was for sales performance during April.

Clyde Wallis and Leon Dickerson, members of Cape Girardeau Post M of the Traveler's Protective Association, have been elected to serve on the state Board of Directors of TPA for the next fiscal year. Wallis will also serve as chairman of the State Safety Committee.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dickerson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hartle, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Grindstaff, and Mrs. Bill Shubert, all of Jackson, attended the recent TPA Convention at Springfield. Also attending were Clyde Wallis, David Wallis, Danny Dewrock and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Henley, all of Cape Girardeau.
