Diane Schweer of Jackson has been honored as "Employee of the Year" at South East Missouri Bank, 111 S. Broadview, in Cape Girardeau.
Schweer, head loan clerk, has worked at the bank about seven years, and was one of a dozen "Employees of the Month" who qualified for the final selection, made by employees of the bank. She was honored during the bank's annual Christmas party, held at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Schweer and her husband, Lanny, are parents of a daughter, Victoria, 6 months old.

Pat Baldwin of McClure, Ill., an assistant dietary supervisor in Kitchen II at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, has been named the Lutheran Home's "Employee of the Year."
Janice Unger, Lutheran Home administrator, announced Baldwin's selection during the employee luncheon held recently at the facility.
Baldwin has been employed at the Lutheran Home since August of 1972. She attended Southeast Missouri State University and is a certified dietary manager.
An employee is selected monthly by department heads for monthly honors, then one of those 12 is selected "Employee of the Year." The runnerup is Brenda Bedell of Cape Girardeau, who has been employed as a certified nurse's aide at the Lutheran Home since 1989.

Doris Jean Arnold, Virginia Boren, Ron Burger and Gary Turner have been recognized by Century 21 Ashland Realty for sales accomplishments.
Turner closed in excess of $3 million; Arnold closed in excess of $2.5 million; Burger in excess of $2 million; and Boren in excess of $1 million.
The awards were announced and presented by Herbert L. Annis, broker/owner of the company, during the December sales meeting.

Joda L. Bess has been re-elected to a two-year term as a member of the Missouri Beer Wholesalers Association Board of Directors.
Bess, vice president of Bluff City Beer Co., Cape Girardeau, will continue to represent Region 6, which includes all of the southeastern counties in the statewide organization.
Frank O'Malley, president of O'Malley Beverage Inc., St. Joseph, was elected president of the organization. Other officers recently elected include Stephen J. Windler of Ed Windler & Sons Inc., St. Charles, vice president, and Jeff Gower, president, Will Fischer Distributing Co., Springfield, treasurer.

Mike Haynes of Sikeston was honored recently by Pepsi-Cola Co., for 10 years of service.
Haynes, a Southeast Missouri State University graduate, started with Pepsi-Cola as a management trainee at Cape Girardeau in 1982. He has served as branch manager at Willow Springs, Mo., and Centralia, Ill., and is currently vice president and division general manager of the company's Missouri and Arkansas territories.

Twenty-one Genesis Transportation Company Inc. truck drivers recently received safety awards, presented by the American Trucking Association and Great West Casualty Co., for a combined total of more than 13 million miles of accident-free driving.
Genesis, a locally owned and operated company in Cape Girardeau, hosted the safety banquet at the Holiday Inn.
Bill Yeargain of Marble Hill received an award for 23 years of accident-free driving and Connie Dillon of Wappapello received an 18-year award for accident-free driving.
