Rules and operational procedures will be reviewed at the FAA Aviation Safety Program, to be held today at 7 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Pilots Club Building at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.
Also on the agenda will be discussion of Land and Hold Short Operations (LAHSO), which have been changed and formalized during the past year. The program, sponsored by the St. Louis Flight Standards District Office, Air Evac Inc., and the local Pilots Club, is free, and no reservations are required. The program is open to pilots and the general public interested in aviation.
The aviation safety-education seminar qualifies for participation in the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration Pilot Proficient Program -- WINGS.Safety meetings can help local pilots stay current on safety issues related to flight and flight operations, said a spokesman of Air Evac Inc.
