Authorities releasing little information about Union County death

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Union County authorities still hadn't released much information Monday afternoon concerning a Saturday night death in rural Jonesboro. The Union County Sheriff's Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Illinois State Police, Union County Coroner's Office, Union County State's Attorney's Office and various other agencies, according to a news release from Union County State's Attorney Tyler Edmonds. More information will be released as it becomes available, the release said, and a message left with Edmonds' secretary was not immediately returned.
